1932 Dunbar Glass Sweet Ad-Aline Cocktail Shaker Set

A fabulous circa 1930 Sweet Ad-Aline cocktail shaker set. The set is generally assigned to The Dunbar Glass Co. of Dunbar, West Virginia.
The set features a 42 ounce green tinted glass cocktail shaker with six matching 5 ounce tumblers. Each piece is decorated with hand painted scenes of inebriated gentlemen drinking and singing "Sweet Ad - Aline" under a lamp post on some New York street corner.

The gentlemen are attired in evening clothes and top hats.
Each glass design is unique. On one of the glasses there is a police officer observing the remains of the party.
The hand-blown glass is delicate and has a gorgeous "optic spiral" twist feature. There are raised ribs at the bases of both the shaker and glasses. The ribs and the glasses rims are striped in gold. The shaker cap and strainer are chromium finished.

We also show with the photos a copy of a 1932 ad for the set.
The set comes in its original maroon leatherette case that shows considerable wear with the top detached.

This set is museum worthy, it looks as if it was seldom if ever used and is ready for display.
